New York Rangers Daily Poll: 3/15/14

Good afternoon New York Rangers fans! It’s the morning after a Rangers win and it’s time for another daily poll! Today’s question is one that most Rangers fans are asking. Will the New York Rangers make the playoffs, and if so will it be in a divisional position or a wild card spot?

Bruce Fedyck-USA TODAY Sports

Currently, the Rangers have a 36-28-4 record which has earned them 76 points and second place in their division. The Rangers sit one point ahead of the Philadelphia Flyers and the whole division is heating up. The Columbus Blue Jackets are two points behind the Rangers and are sitting in the second wild card position. The Rangers have 14 games left before the playoffs, Philadelphia and Columbus each have 16. The margin of error for the Rangers is essentially non-existent. The remaining 14 games are against tough opponents, of those 14 games only six of them are at Madison Square Garden. The Rangers, and head coach Alain Vigneault are going to need to bear down and focus on getting the maximum amount of points possible if they want to secure a spot in the playoffs. Henrik Lundqvist is going to have to play the way he knows how to and players like Rick Nash, Martin St. Louis, and Brad Richards are going to have to pull through and lead the way.

So what do you think Rangers fans? Will the Rangers make the playoffs? Vote in the poll below!
