Hello New York Rangers fans and happy game day to you all! Tonight the Rangers have a huge game against the Ottawa Senators at the Canadian tire Centre. However, before we get to that let’s tackle something a little bit lighter, like the daily poll! In a season that has been up and down for the Rangers, it’s important to look at the positives, and there have been plenty of those this season. Today’s question is, who has been the most pleasant surprise from the New York Rangers this season?
There have been a few bright lights that have shone on the Rangers this season, today I want to know which one has been your favorite. But first, let’s look at the options. Ryan McDonagh, at 24 years of age has finally had the breakout season we’ve been waiting for. He’s become THE top defenseman on the Rangers and a top defenseman in the national hockey league. Aside from his defensive game growing, he’s tallied 36 points this season and has become an offensive asset for the Rangers. Maybe you like Rick Nash, who is continuing his regular offensive production and has tallied a tenth consecutive season of 20 goals scored or more, the only currently active NHL player to have that streak. Is it Mats Zuccarello? Before this season, Zuccarello was an average third line player who’s strongest point was his shootout expertise, but this season he is third on the team in points with 45 and has without question been the Rangers best player all season. Or perhaps last but not least your favorite is Chris Kreider, the rookie who has begun to come into his own form. Kreider has 35 points on the season and has finally learned to use his size and speed to benefit himself and the team.
So New York Rangers fans what do you think? Who has been the most pleasant surprise for the Rangers this season? Vote in the poll below and let us know what you think!
