New York Rangers Daily Poll: 3/20/14

Good afternoon New York Rangers fans! I hope you’re all enjoying the mini break between game days, because that just makes the poll that much more important! Today’s question tackles an important issue: Who should be the next captain of the New York Rangers?

Bruce Fedyck-USA TODAY Sports

When former captain Ryan Callahan got traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning for Martin St. Louis, the question of who will become the next Rangers captain almost immediately rose to the top of the talk in “Rangerstown”. After the morning skate in Columbus today, reporters asked Rick Nash a series of questions, the main one being who he thought should be the Rangers next captain. While you can read the whole interview here we’re gonna focus on the most important thing Nash said, which was that he feels defenseman Ryan McDonagh should be the next Rangers captain. Do you agree with Nash? If not, maybe you’re one of the people who feel that Dan Girardi, being the player on the Rangers longer than anyone but Henrik Lundqvist should receive the honorary C. Or maybe you’re one of those people who feel that Rick Nash, being the Rangers number one goal scorer and already having experience captaining an NHL team should get the letter.

What do you think Ranger fans? Who should be the next New York Rangers Captain? Vote in the poll below!
