New York Rangers Daily Poll: 3/21/14

Hello New York Rangers fans and happy game day! After an extended rest between game days, the Rangers are back to face the Columbus Blue Jackets at nationwide arena in Columbus! However before we get to the game, lets get to the daily poll! Today’s question is do you think the Rangers should call up J.T. Miller to replace Benoit Pouliot on the third line?

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

As you all know, the Rangers are currently struggling to solidify a position in a playoff spot, one of the reasons being age old that the team has trouble scoring. Is it because of head coach Alain Vigneault‘s style of play? Or is it due to a lack of the right personnel? Pouliot has been on the third line all season long with Derick Brassard and Mats Zuccarello, and he’s streaky at best. He has short points of the season where he comes to play and then he disappears for a few weeks until the next showing. While I think Pouliot does well on the third line I simply think there is a better option, one that will increase scoring from the third line and benefit the Rangers offense down the road of a playoff run, that option is J.T. Miller. Miller has is averaging a point a game this season with the Hartford Wolfpack, and when he was in New York a couple of weeks ago for a short stint that trend continued, he’s almost a guaranteed source of offense. Also I think his speed, size and strength would help the third line become even more productive than it already is.

That being said, I want to know what you guys think! So go ahead and vote in the poll below!
