New York Rangers Roundup

Good evening New York Rangers’ fans. Today’s daily news is an evening edition. So let’s check out what’s going on before the Rangers get set to play the Phoenix Coyotes tomorrow.

Henrik Lundqvist has been on a roll lately. He broke yet another team record in stats with his shut out against long time rivals New Jersey Devils, and long time nemesis, Martin Brodeur. It wasn’t long ago that an article surfaced from New Jersey and quoting Brodeur, as saying his stats are still more impressive than Lundqvist’s. Well, how do you think the Devils enjoyed getting shut out at the Prudential Center?

The Rangers’ shut out win against the Devils could not have been any sweeter. When the Rangers faced the Devils at Yankee Stadium, Brodeur allowed a lot of goals and was removed from the game in favor of the, arguably backup goal tender, Cory Schneider. Well after the game ended Brodeur was quoted as saying it was “the worst ice I’ve ever played on in my career”. So does that mean the Prudential Center ice is bad too now?

After the hit on John Moore by Blake Comeau in Columbus, it was announced that Moore is suffering from “Concussion-like symptoms”.  J. Moore is a former Blue Jacket who took a very hard hit against the boards and there was no call on the play. Hard hits came at both ends of the ice and there was nothing held back between the teams. The result of the hit left J. Moore out of  the line-up against the Devils; it also gave Raphael Diaz his New York Rangers’ début.

Stay tuned for more great news tomorrow as we get the coverage of the game going throughout the day. The playoffs are growing ever closer and the Rangers are in the hunt. The last 10 games of the season are huge and every point is a necessity.
