New York Rangers' Roundup: 3/25/14

Good afternoon New York Rangers fans! What an amazing overtime win last night! How great was that ceremony for Henrik Lundqvist? His family was there and his adorable little girl was really getting into the spirit, and music, of the night. There were some really great gifts and a presentation to start the night out in a great way.

The night started off with a great ceremony but once the puck dropped it was time to focus on business. It didn’t take long to see that the Coyotes were the faster of the two teams. If you missed last night’s ceremony, here are some pictures of the event and Lundqvist’s gifts. Who wouldn’t love a custom Les Paul guitar and a special new helmet?

Dan Girardi doesn’t always score goals, but when he does they are clutch. Girardi’s fifth goal of the season sent the game to over time last night. He made up the deficit caused by the gaffe of Chris Kreider‘s “own goal”. Now if Kreider could just find the back of the other team’s net, that would be great. Girardi’s defensive partner, Ryan McDonagh, was the one to end the game with his over time goal. It was an amazing shot on an open net. Have a look:

Today the team gets a chance to rest as they prepare for the Philadelphia Flyers tomorrow night. It will be a bitter game with the current playoff race and the fact that the Rangers just bumped the Flyers out of second place in the Metropolitan Division. Have a great day Rangers’ fans and stay tuned for more great articles!
