New York Rangers Daily Poll: 4/3/14

Good evening New York Rangers fans! It’s a game day as the Rangers are in the mile-high city to take on Patrick Roy and the Colorado Avalanche. However, as always before we get to the game tonight at 9 o’clock on MSG, you all have to take today’s daily poll! With the second half of the Rangers season going so well, we all have to look at why that’s happening. The team is getting great goal-tending from Cam Talbot and Henrik Lundqvist, excellent defense, and finally some top six scoring. That being said let’s not forget the bottom six of the offense, which leads me to today’s question. Which line do you believe is more of an asset to the Rangers bottom six?

The Rangers third line, consisting of Benoit Pouliot, Derick Brassard, and Mats Zuccarello has been one of the Rangers best lines of the season. The third line accounts for 129 of the Rangers points, which is the most on the team. They were consistent when the rest of the team was not, and have proven to be a force to be reckoned with  in the Rangers lineup.

The Rangers fourth line, consisting of Derek Dorsett / Daniel Carcillo, Dominic Moore, and Brian Boyle has had a different effect on the lineup than the third, but still plays a crucial role. The fourth line accounts for 46 points so far this season, only about a third of what the third line produces. However, the fourth line is the “energy” line. This line has time and time again shown to be the hardest working line on the team, and is a bunch that is not afraid to get into the corners and show other team’s what they are made of. They’ve also been able to play against the opposing team’s top guys, which helps give the Rangers an advantage.

Well Rangers fans, that’s all I’ve got. Let me know what you think by voting in the poll below!
