Good morning New York Rangers fans! Sorry we missed the news yesterday but here was so much to cover! I promise to get you all caught up today. Last night was a disappointing loss to the Colorado Avalanche but without Ryan McDonagh, it’s mildly forgivable. Mostly because the team still earned a point for the over time also, the Philadelphia Flyers lost, in regulation, to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Anyone who watches the Rangers play, with any frequency, knows about the third line. Derick Brassard centers Mats Zuccarello and Benoit Pouliot; the top producing line on the team. Here is an interesting look at the line as a collective, and each player as an individual.

For those who had something to say about the lack of retaliation on Alexandre Burrows for his ugly hit on Ryan McDonagh in Vancouver, read this. Say what you will about coach, Alain Vigneault and his “tough guys ” Derek Dorsett and Daniel Carcillo for not retaliating as many would hope or expect. As I mentioned at the time, Dan Girardi got a shot in pretty quick and Dorsett is smart about the rules, he knows how to handle these situations and he doesn’t forget.

The legendary, Adam Graves recently took over Rangers twitter and did a little interview for Blueshirts United about his favorite music and other topics. It’s always great to hear what he has to say, so check it out here.

Here is your prospect report for the young Rangers. Brady Skjei is doing well in the NCAA and the Canadian prospects are all doing well too! It seems as though there are some strong players moving up through the system, FINALLY! Let’s just hope timing works out properly s far as development and team needs.

J.T. Miller returned to the Hartford Wolf Pack with a smudge next to his name and the weight of his hockey world on his shoulders. Coach, Alain Vigneault made it clear he was not very happy with Miller’s performance after the recall, on many levels. Maybe it is his approach, but Vigneault doesn’t receive the same retaliatory media blitz as John Tortorella for calling out his players in public.

That should get you back up to date with everything. Stay tuned for more pieces throughout the day on more great Rangers topics. Don’t forget to stay tuned for game coverage tomorrow! The Rangers are coming home again for a three game home stand and they only need two more points to clench a post season berth! Let’s go Rangers!!
