Mats Zuccarello has been a great asset to the team this season. Zuccarello won the Steven McDonald Extra Effort Award, leads the team in points with 59 and is tied with Derek Stepan with 40 assists on the season. Zucc has shown an incredible amount of effort on the ice to help make his third line one of the best lines on the ice. Although Zuccarello was out for a few games with a hand injury, he has played consistently both before and after the injury. Without Zuccarello the New York Rangers would have been a different team this year.

There is not many bad things we can say about Zuccarello. He has always played with heart, has good speed, and although we may want him to take more shots, sometimes he wants to set up other players, or shots just won’t go in. All together, Zuccarello is a great all-around player.

Post Season Predictions:
Zuccarello will come in as a key component and a key player in the Rangers post-season this year. He will contribute both offensively and defensively, and post some key points on the scoreboard during playoffs. If Zuccarello plays to his highest potential, We could see three to four goals from him during post-season play. Zuccarello hasn’t had many slumps that are memorable which means that he is a consistent player and can be depended upon to help the New York Rangers win the Stanley Cup this year.
