The New York Rangers Game 7 MVP

At the end of game seven, the New York Rangers were graced with a big win; a huge 2-1 victory. What a difference compared to last night. The Rangers looked like they were full of life the entire game. While I believe this to be one of the best played games in the series, there is one person in my mind who deserves to be called the Most Valuable Player of game seven, that person is Daniel Carcillo.
Personally, I think Danny Carcillo should have played the entire series. I believe he brings an energy to the ice, not to mention his toughness quality. Not only did he bring his energy tonight, but he also brought his experience. Carcillo is a seasoned player and can really be a guy to look up to in big games. He maintained his control, and discipline, in the three games which he played in this series. Not to mention he scored two goals. Tonight’s second period goal was the biggest way for Carcillo to show the Philadelphia Flyers that he was going to hit them where it hurts; on the scoreboard. Carcillo putting the Rangers on the board first in any game is a big deal, but especially in a playoff game. His line mates are playmakers and the chemistry that they exude is vitally important to this team.
I also think the Ranger fans themselves were a big part of this win. They added life to Madison Square Garden the entire night. There were very few times that you heard silence. There were tons of “Let’s Go Rangers” and “Henrik” chants tonight and that always brings energy to players. The Rangers deserve to enjoy this win tonight, but tomorrow it is back to work and they need to be prepared to take on the other team from Pennsylvania, the Pittsburgh Penguins.
