Unless you’re Sidney Crosby, there’s no whining in hockey just like there’s no crying in baseball. Kevin Klein made a point of this yesterday night when a high stick cut part of his ear off, requiring 13 stitches to repair. Did he make a big deal about it on the ice? No. He went straight to the locker room, came back to play for two more periods, then scored the game winning goal for the New York Rangers in overtime. In the words of head coach, Alain Vigneault, “Say what you want about hockey players, they are tough SOBs.”
