Good Thursday to you all you New York Rangers fans. It’s another edition of the Daily Dose. Here are some bits of news around the Rangers and NHL:

New mask for the Skaps- THEHOCKEYNEWS.COM

It’s become a ritual for goalies to don their goalie masks with new graphics to show their personality. Aside from their performance keeping the puck out of their own net, the goalie mask is an extension of themselves and the team they play for.

Of course, Rangers fans have been treated to unique designs, inspired by different themes. Henrik Lundqvist has been making it a ritual of having a fresh design each year. Heck, he even had his own tv show about the different goalie masks he’d wear, with the help of five celebrities. All for the cause of charity.

Former Rangers backup Cam Talbot had his own brand of flair. His Ghostbuster-themed head gear was eye-catching to fans, as well as unique and fun to look at!

The latest in the trend of Rangers goalies to get a fresh paint job tot heir head gear is Mackenzie Skapski. If you missed it on Wednesday, here is what the 21-year old’s new mask will look like:

Nice, ehh? Nothing spectacular or outrageous. But, it’s simply classy, and speaks volumes.

The iconic Statue of Liberty head on each side, the racing stripe with the New York Rangers crest running the top of the helmet, his last name written as “SKAPPER” in a sort of a heavy-metal design, the black and white pictures of New York city workers constructing the Empire State Building, make Skapski’s mask look great!

Even the bolts are painted and look realistic enough to think they were real! Hopefully, he will be able to wear it next season if he gets the call up to Broadway again.

If not, he will be able to showcase it with the Hartford Wolf Pack and give him motivation to keep going for his ultimate goal, making the Rangers!

You think Skapski could put, Buffalo Sabres Killer, on the back of his mask?
