Traverse City
New York Rangers hockey officially got underway last week with the prospects taking to the ice at the seventh annual Traverse City Tournament in Michigan.
The team was among eight NHL clubs to participate in the event. Unfortunately, the prospects didn’t fare so well in their appearance last week, going 1-3 before the last day of the tournament.
We covered the Rangers as they tried to put their best foot forward in competing.

With the attention of the Traverse City over last week, focus turned to the real business at hand.
The Rangers opened the doors to the 2015-2016 Training Camp. And there are some good storylines that developed on the first day that will part of the main focus entering the season.
Head coach Alain Vigneault met with the media last Thursday to discuss his long-term goals for this year:

Of all the newest additions to the team, Viktor Stalberg may have the most to prove as a Ranger.
He’s previously played with the Chicago Blackhawks, having won a Stanley Cup with them in 2013. Also, he’s spent time with the Nashville Predators last season.
However, it seemed that Stalberg was not a good fit with Predators first-year head coach Peter Laviolette. this may have resulted with his limited ice-time and reduced role on the team.
He finds himself in New York this season, trying to gain back his reputation as a good hockey player and prove he can be a factor, whether it be as a Ranger or for another team:
