With Jason Arnott and Benn Ferriero now on board, the Rangers need to shakeup the team a little bit to accommodate both of them.

Here are the lines I am proposing:

1) Rick Nash-Brad Richards- Marian Gaborik

Need I say more about this line? They literally pummeled the Leafs yesterday and are hot.

2) Carl Hagelin-Benn Ferriero- Ryan Callahan

They played very well yesterday, and John Tortorella liked what he saw from them. I’d give them a few more games together.

3) Taylor Pyatt-Brian Boyle- Derek Stepan

I like this as Stepan is moved to wing and will play with less responsibility. This line looked very good yesterday and can be a very good puck possession line and defensively responsible.

4) Jeff Halpern-Jason Arnott-Chris Kreider/Arron Asham/Mike Rupp

Newly acquired Jason Arnott will most likely start on the fourth line to get his legs under him. I understand the hesitancy of placing Kreider on the fourth line, but I think if he gets legitimate minutes (7-9 minutes a game) Kreider can learn the NHL game more so than if he was in Hartford.

I’d scratch Mike Rupp and Arron Asham unless the Rangers were playing a rival who will ice goons of their own. Come playoff time, I don’t think the Rangers would be served well putting Asham or Rupp out there.

Thoughts?
