ANAHEIM, CA – APRIL 9: Jarome Iginla

Since a Stanley Cup victory in 2013-2014, the Kings have won just one playoff game in the last three seasons.

Rangers fans know the victory in 2014 all too well, but ever since the Kings have struggled to make the playoffs. One trip in the last three seasons have people questioning if LA may need to rethink their lineup.

The same core that won them a Stanley Cup is largely still intact, but that isn’t such a good thing for Los Angeles. The Kings are the fourth oldest team in the league and don’t seem to be getting much younger. Even the offseason addition of Mike Cammalleri-a replacement for the loss of Jarome Iginla-doesnt make them that much younger.

While defensively and in goal the Kings are formidable, the offense lacks a necessary firepower. Last season the Kings were a middle of the pack team. With not much roster change, 2017-2018 should be the same.
