The center ice logo on a jersey? This must be the 70s and it was, as the Rangers would try this hip and new trend and
showcase their center ice logo on their jerseys.
The Rangers wouldn’t have that much regular season success with the jerseys, going sub .500 in both seasons that the jersey was worn. But they were very trendy, and the team did look pretty cool in them. The 1976-1977 jersey was the last time in the league you would see the road jersey without the players names on the back, cause a new rule was enforced the following season to now show their name.
The Rangers would wear this jersey for two games during the 2003-2004 season during “Vintage Night” where a select group of teams would wear a vintage jersey. The Rangers as an organization chose this jersey.
