Ah, the Winter Classic. A game that has history written all over it. On January 2, 2012, the Rangers and Flyers would play in the outdoor game at Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies, to a sold out crowd. At the same time, millions of viewers at home were watching this game. On a Monday, instead of the traditional January 1 (was on a Sunday, an NFL Sunday), the teams would go out and have a classic battle, where the Rangers would end up winning 3-2. The Rangers  were down quickly 2 nothing, scoring 3 unanswered goals, two from Mike Rupp, and another goal followed by Brad Richards early in the third.

A Danny Briere failed penalty shot ended the game, and the Rangers would celebrate in front of the Philadelphia crowd.

The home crowd would get the chance to see the jerseys in action for one games, as they would face the Flyers again, on February 5. Same result, just more Ranger domination with a final score of 5-2.

These jerseys have an old school look and feel with how the white is more of an egg toned, off white shade. The Ranger logo on the jersey is more narrowed and rounded in, in lines with the original Rangers logo that was originally used by the team.
