The New York Rangers have seen many players come and go since their run to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2014. One of those players include Dominic Moore, a former fourth line forward. Looking ahead to the Rangers’ matchup against the Bruins, here’s a remembrance of the time Moore spent with the Rangers.

Dominic Moore signed with the Boston Bruins during the past offseason. Unfortunately, it went unrecognized for many reasons. The main reason was everyone was busy concerning themselves with the fact that the New York Rangers didn’t make the run they were expected to.

This is the Bruins’ last game before hosting the Rangers for the final time this season. As of now, Moore has recorded nine goals and nine assists in 63 games played. He also logs about 12:45 of ice time per night.

Despite his new home in Boston, as the slogan goes, “Once a Ranger, always a Ranger.” Some of his best moments happened with the Rangers. Particularly, what he is most remembered for is his game-winning goal in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals. That goal helped send the Rangers to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time in twenty years.

Scoreless in the second period, Henrik Lundqvist came up with a huge (highly featured) save on Tomas Vanek. He batted the puck out of the air with his arm to keep the puck out after making the original save.

Minutes later, Moore ripped a shot from between the circles that found its way past Tokarski for a 1-0 lead. As it turned out, that was the only goal of the game, and he will forever be one of the heroes of Game 6 of that 2014 Eastern Conference Finals.

Although that game is definitely the highlight of his time with the Rangers, he had other great instances. One of these was in the 2015 Playoffs.

Moore decided Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Tampa Bay Lightning late in the third period. Tied at one, the Rangers went in the zone on a rush, and Kevin Hayes managed the puck well. Hayes stickhandled at the side of the net before making a great pass to Moore in front.

The puck bounced off of Moore’s knee, and the Garden erupted. The Rangers had taken a 2-1 lead, and once again, Moore ended up with the game-winner.

Moore shared his love of hockey with many teams over the seasons, but his time with the Rangers was especially important. He saw a couple of trips to the Conference Finals and a Stanley Cup Finals. He was there for some amazing runs, and they remain a highlight of his career.
