New York Rangers: Top Five Players Who Will Determine the Team’s Success
4.) Brady Skjei
One of the Rangers’ greatest blessings this season is none other than the solid defense of Brady Skjei. Whether it’s breaking up two-on-one situations or using his body to get in the way of playmakers, Skjei has been one of the Rangers’ best assets.
Skjei’s 29 assists (as of March 9th) prove his ability to be a two-way defenseman. What the Rangers lost with Keith Yandle, they made up for with Skjei. Not to mention, Skjei handles the puck better on the back end.
His defense will be key for the Rangers to make a long run. He doesn’t have the playoff experience some of his teammates have, but his desire to win will help him maintain his consistency.
