COLOGNE, GERMANY – MAY 20: Henrik Lundqvist

Henrik Lundqvist has been the rock for the New York Rangers ever since his rookie season in 2005. The organization has made its fair share of great offseason moves, culminating in the Rangers’ run to the 2014 run to the Stanley Cup. On the other hand, the Rangers have had a few blunders along the way.

A player having the success that Henrik Lundqvist has had for the New York Rangers‘ goalie, Henrik Lundqvist, has is incredible. The former seventh round draft pick stood head and shoulders above all other from the first time he stepped on the ice in a blue sweater. The shot stopper extraordinaire has led the Rangers for over a decade with much success.

Through Lundqvist’s Rangers’ tenure, the team has made the playoffs all but one year. In that same time span, the team has made it to two conference finals and one Stanley Cup Final. Those great runs were pieced together by many great offseason moves made by the Rangers’ management.

We looked the Rangers’ best offseason moves here. While the Rangers made plenty of great moves, the opposite could also be said.
