TThe New York Rangers are currently sitting in the cellar of the Metropolitan Division after six games. Although there is still time to turn things around, if the team doesn’t get it together soon, they will be in major trouble.

The Rangers have dropped five of their first six games this season. The NHL season is a marathon, not a sprint. As teams of the past several years prove, you can have great starts or terrible starts and still make the playoffs. However, this season isn’t like seasons of the past. For a litany of reasons, the Rangers must get it together.

While the team has struggled to find its groove the first two weeks of the season the players and the coaching staff need to find the team’s strengths and capitalize on them now. If the Rangers don’t rattle off a good run of games and start accumulating points now they will be in an impossible situation.
