The Rangers have won ten of their last 12 games and have worked their way into a playoff spot.

The Rangers have worked their way out of their early-season funk on the stellar play of Henrik Lundqvist and a lethal power play. The hot streak over the past month includes eight straight wins at Madison Square Garden, with multiple third-period comebacks.

American Thanksgiving is the measuring stick for whether or not a team is going to make the playoffs. As things currently sit, the Rangers would play the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round. However, there is still a long way to go in the marathon NHL season.

The Rangers play 13 games in the month of December, including eight at the World’s Most Famous Arena. The month culminates with the Winter Classic at Citi Field on New Year’s day against the Buffalo Sabres.

Although the Rangers have been winning, there are still question marks in the lineup. The team will figure out if the hot streak was for real or just a fluke streak by a flawed team. These are my predictions for the month of December.
