As fans, it is undeniable that the greatest part of the game is the scoring. The New York Rangers have provided plenty so far this season. Here’s the top five goals through 30 games.

Whether you run around your living room singing and chanting or sit on your couch in nervous anticipation, there’s no doubt goal scoring is the most exciting part of the game. The New York Rangers have scored some pretty goals and some sneaky ones so far.

Which is exactly why it’s so hard to come to a decision about only the top five. Luckily, though, there were definitely a few that stood out. Here’s the top five goals through the season’s first 30 games.

5.) Mats Zuccarello’s 3-1 Goal Against Devils

Zuccarello has grown into more of a play-maker than a goal scorer for the Rangers. However, that’s what makes goals like these extra special. His small stature gives him the ability to be a bit sneaky when he needs to be. This goal is a perfect example of that.

Take a look at 5:00 to see the steal and the goal:

Zuccarello is more of a quite offensive weapon for the Rangers. His slick skills make him excellent at forming chemistry. However, it’s nice to see him in the spotlight every once in a while. And in this game, where he scored two goals, he deserved it.

4.) Pavel Buchnevich’s 4-2 Goal Against Panthers

The Rangers found something special with Russian sniper Buchnevich. The young star is making his way in the NHL slowly but surely. However, as of late, he’s picked up the pace, showing everyone what he’s made of.

Of course, he’s done it with help from trusty side-kick Chris Kreider. Take a look at this beautifully crafted goal that starts behind the net at 5:10:

Although the Rangers ultimately ended up losing this game, they did something that fans have gotten used to in the past few season. They were down by a lot and came back to tie it. They were down 3-0 and 4-1 and came all the way back to 4-4 before a Nick Holden giveaway put the Panthers up by one with a minute to go.

Nonetheless, this was still a great goal.

3.) Kreider’s Goal Against Carolina

And speaking of Kreider, here’s a fantastic goal of his own to admire. Kreider is perhaps the Rangers’ most lethal offensive weapon (especially with Zibanejad’s concussion keeping him out for this short time).

He always drives hard to the net when he scores. Most of his goals have happened from up close, but this one was a great passing play.

Check it out at the very beginning at 1:13:

Buchnevich and Kreider have become the Rangers’ dynamic duo. Hopefully, they remain that way for the entire season.

2.) J.T. Miller’s OT Winner Against Lightning

Miller has had an up and down season so far. He gets criticized for not being able to be consistent. However, he’s been better as of late. Goals like these prove he has what it takes to play at a high level.

Take a look at 7:26 to see the 2-1 overtime winner in Tampa Bay:

The Rangers are lucky to have Miller on their roster, even if he isn’t always consistent. He adds an element to this team that they need, which is a little bit of physical play.

1.) Mika Zibanejad’s 5-4 Goal Against Golden Knights

Mika Zibanejad- there’s not enough good to say about a player that has done so much for this team. His absence has surely been missed, especially on the power play.

And on that note, let’s take a look at the best goal of the season:

The Rangers had scored first in this game. However, they ended up trailing 2-1 and 4-2 at the end of the second period against the new team that had a great start to the season.

Zibanejad’s goal was the reason Rangers’ fans would know for the rest of the season that this team is still insanely resilient.
