The New York Rangers are fast approaching the trade deadline. With most of the roster marred by injuries, it is best to sell and gear up for next season.

February has been a mess for the New York Rangers. They are losing players left and right and have officially acknowledged the poor state of the team. However, there are still positives through this rough patch. Young players are being given a chance to shine due to the number of injuries. Players such as Neal Pionk, John Gilmour, and Tony DeAngelo are being given a chance to play at the NHL level.

In addition to letting the kids play, the front office has finally said the team is ready to rebuild. Just recently, Rick Nash submitted his 12 team no-trade list. Even more recently, Ryan McDonagh was asked to submit his 10 team no-trade list. General manager Jeff Gorton and club president Glenn Sather were clearly serious when they said familiar faces would be traded.

The Rangers struggles are almost assuaged by management’s statement. By finally acknowledging what everyone else was thinking, the Rangers can plan for the future.
