The Boston Bruins top line of Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak is thought by many to be the best in the NHL. The New York Rangers could learn a lesson by looking at how that line was put together.

The Bruins top line has been tearing up the Stanley Cup Playoffs. A dominant line, when they are clicking, the Bruins just do not lose. What is unusual is that the line does not include a top ten draft pick. In looking at the top lines in the NHL, they are all anchored by a top pick whether it be Steven Stamkos, Alexander Ovechkin, Jordan Staal or Brayden Schenn. The Rangers could learn a lesson from the Bruins on how to build a top line without top draft choices especially in a year when they have a boatload of draft picks, but only one in the top ten.
