#5 – 6.6 to go

When Brad Richards poked in the game tying goal with a little under seven seconds to go in game five of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, the New York Rangers were moving. A double minor from Joel Ward set up a power play for the Rangers to put them on the offensive. With a strong control of the puck with under 30 seconds to go, a strong shot from the point set up a great rebound chance. Ryan Callahan scrambled the puck around for Brad Richards to tie the game.

Taking a power play into the extra frame, the Rangers had an extra chance to end the game. The faceoff was won back to Marc Staal. The puck was walked into the slot and slammed home for a overtime winner in game five. This made for one of the most chilling last minute goals for the season.

The echo of the goal call resonates with many fans till this day.
