#3. January 17: Rangers @ Blackhawks

Why Watch: There aren’t many atmospheres better than the Madhouse on Madison and the place should be jumping for this Original Six matchup.

The Rangers and the Blackhawks, despite rarely playing each other much in the regular season, always matchup well against each other. The game should showcase two teams that used to be the cream of the crop in the league and will now likely experience at least a few years where they aren’t in that same discussion.

The biggest reason to watch this matchup is because of how close the previous games have been between the two teams.

Take away last year when the Rangers were a tire fire and the matchups have been extremely even. In the three seasons previous to 2017-18, the teams played just one game that was decided by more than one goal in six meetings.

This matchup is a classic and even recently it has been pretty darn good.
