Why Watch: Because rivalries are fun. Because this one is always fun. And because you’ll still be getting over your turkey hangover and nothing helps that more than waking up, rolling from your bed to your couch and watching some afternoon hockey.
The Rangers and the Flyers in the Thanksgiving Showdown is always a fun draw. This year, for the first time in a while, the Flyers are projected to be the better team. But there is zero chance that takes away from this game.
There is always bad blood between the two teams and don’t expect anything different on Black Friday afternoon. Expect plenty of after-the-whistle scrums, possibly a couple fights and absolutely no sign of thanks being given.
The rivalry between the two teams is always intense, but for some reason it feels even more magnified when the rivalry hits an afternoon game on NBC. That could just be me imagining things, but I expect to see a good one.
