The New York Rangers are back in action. Preseason hockey just wrapped up its first week and we got a good look at the current prospects. Just who will make the cut?

Record: 1-2-0

Scores: NYR @ NJD 4-3 OT, NYR vs PHI 6-4, NYR vs NYI 5-2

New York Rangers hockey has finally returned. Though it’s only preseason, it feels nice to finally be able to watch hockey again.

With so many lineup changes, it is quite strange to see so many open spots and so many rookies to fill them. So many rookies in fact, that there is an absolute log jam at center and on the blue line.

While the Rangers lost two of their three games this week, I don’t think they have looked utterly atrocious. In fact, this is the most fun I have personally had watching hockey in a while. The kids look good. They’re fast, they’re gritty, and yes, relentless.
