Two games, two Stanley Cup contenders and two big wins for the New York Rangers who appear to be putting things together.

After defeating the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden, the New York Rangers hit the road to Music City and got a total team effort as they beat the Nashville Predators 2-1.

It was a track meet of a game with both sides coughing up a plethora of high-danger chances, but the Blueshirts produced a real gritty display to secure a huge W.

Alexandar Georgiev was outstanding between the pipes yet again, while Filip Chytil looks a man reborn following his call-up from the AHL after potting a goal for the second consecutive game.

Ryan Strome tallied the go-ahead goal and the forward has been riding the hot hand of late, carving out an NHL career-high with a six-game point streak.

There were impressive showings from young defensemen in the ilk of Libor Hajek and Ryan Lindgren too, with the latter making a huge block in the dying seconds of the game with the Predators on the power play.

After the debacle that was the loss to the Boston Bruins on Oct, 27, these young Rangers have responded in the perfect fashion and they are finding ways to win, which is the hallmark of any good playoff team.

And, what is arguably more important than that, is the fact that many of the Blueshirts’ young studs are showing significant improvement on a game-to-game basis and that should be the most encouraging aspect for this franchise moving forward.

Overall, it was a superb win against an elite Nashville Predators team that are absolutely loaded with firepower and they will be a playoff team.

Let’s go over some main takeaways from the New York Rangers’ 2-1 success over the Nashville Predators on Saturday…
