My Three Players of the Game

  1. Chris Kreider was the pick of the bunch for me. He was the only Ranger to finish with a plus/minus rating of +2, and he also helped himself to a two-point night with his goal a typical Chris Kreider score. He positioned himself well in-front of the net before redirecting Adam Fox’s shot. Kreider was clearly frustrated after the game and rightly so.
  2. Brady Skjei was a healthy scratch against the Carolina Hurricanes but he bounced back emphatically today. He responded in the right way and finished the night with 23:47 minutes of total ice time, second only to Jacob Trouba on the Rangers. Skjei also tallied a goal and he was unlucky not to grab a second in Overtime.
  3. Ryan Lindgren had an afternoon to remember after recording his first ever career goal in the NHL, and it was a beauty too. But he showed his toughness after taking a crushing hit from Brian Boyle, only to remain on the ice until the play had finished before coming back into the game later. He’s tough as nails and he’s been a welcome addition to the blueline.
