Alexandar Georgiev will be in goal as the New York Rangers look to halt their two game losing streak .  The challenge will be their opponent, the defending Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues.

The Central Division leading St. Louis Blues invade Madison Square Garden riding a seven game winning streak.  The New York Rangers have lost two in a row for the first time in two months and it will be a rested Alexandar Georgiev in goal for the Blueshirts.  He will be opposed by Jordan Binnington, the Blues’ top netminders.

One of the top blueliners for the Blues, Colton Parayko is ill and will be a gametime decision.  If he cannot play, he will be missed as his has gelled with newcomer Marco Scandella on the Blues second defense pairing.

St. Louis last played on Saturday, a 4-3 shootout win over the Dallas Stars so they have had plenty of rest.  This is the first of a three game road trip for the Blues. They have a 16-11-5 road record..   The Rangers are only 17-14-2 at home and need to improve that record if they want to get into the playoffs.
