New York Rangers: Share your Stanley Cup memories

Sunday marks 26 years since the last New York Rangers Stanley Cup

On June 14, 1994, the New York Rangers accomplished something that most fans of the team thought that they would never see, the Blueshirts win the Stanley Cup .  It took a thrilling seven game Finals followed by pure bedlam at Madison Square Garden and citywide euphoria that culminated with a tickertape parade down the “Canyon of Heroes.”

It was a cathartic moment for long suffering fans of the New York Rangers and made up for years of frustration, finally ending the chants of “1940” that tormented the Rangers and their fans for decades.

Here at Blue Line Station, we would like to share your memories of that great day.  We are sure that many of you have unique experiences and recollections.  If you can, please send us a paragraph about your June 14 experience and we will compile them in a special look back on Sunday.

Special programming

The MSG Network will be presenting some special programming on Sunday, June 14 in honor of the 1994 Stanley Cup Championship.   While the biographies of Adam Graves, Mike Richter, Brian Leetch and Mark Messier are great, the highlights will be the re-telecast of Game 7 and the tickertape parade.  The game will shown at 5pm, 830pm and 1230 am and the parade will air at 1030pm and 230am.
