TEAM USA
Hunter Skinner, defense – Skinner was a fourth round pick in 2019 (#112 overall) .  He is a righthanded blueliner who has played one full season with the London Knights of the OHL.   Skinner is considered to be a long shot to make Team USA.    One note about him, if he does make the team, he improves his chances that the Rangers will offer him an ELC.  They have until June of next year to sign him or they relinquish his rights.

TEAM SWEDEN

Karl Henriksson, center – Henriksson is a lock to make Team Sweden and may be the top center on the team.  He is projected to be the pivot for left wing Alexander Holtz and right wing Lucas Raymond, both 2020 first round picks.  Henriksson was a second round pick by the Rangers in 2019 (#58 overall).

Henriksson was on the team last season, with a goal and two assists in seven games for a disappointing Swedish team.  He is currently playing for Frölunda in the Swedish Hockey League.

He has had a lot of international experience as he was on both the Swedish U-17 and U-18 teams.  This WJC will be a good indication of his NHL potential.  He turns 20 in February.

TEAM FINLAND

Leevi Aaltonen, left wing – Aaltonen was late (fifth round) pick by the Rangers in 2019.   While he is not a sure thing to make the team, he is definitely a candidate.  He is currently playing for KalPa in  Liiga, the top Finnish league where he has one assist in five games.

Aaltonen has played for Finland’s U-17 and U-18 teams  and raised his profile in 2018-19 with his performance with the U-18 team.  In 25 games he had 10 goals and 23 points including five points in five games at the IIHF U18 Championships.
