A preview of Rangers prospects at the 2021 World Juniors

Holiday season means it’s time for the World Juniors, and the New York Rangers have several prospects participating this year
With two weeks left until Christmas, most years we would be well on our way to figuring out what kind of team the New York Rangers would be this season. Unfortunately, we have not had any NHL hockey to keep us entertained, though fortunately that is set to change a month from now! But for prospect nerds across the world, the holiday season is when we look forward to the U20 World Junior Championship.
While the tournament itself is not one you should look to draw conclusions about prospects from, it is always entertaining and is arguably the most important annual international hockey event. The Rangers have had some of the tournament’s best players in recent years, and are slated to have a couple big names attending this year.
Unfortunately, coronavirus has derailed some of that excitement and will prevent Rangers second round pick Karl Henriksson from attending the tournament. He was slated to play on Sweden’s top line with super-prospects Lucas Raymond (Detroit) and Alexander Holtz (New Jersey). But there are still a few intriguing Rangers prospects attending the tournament, so I will take a look at what the expectations should be for the three remaining players attending.
