My Ranger stars of the game

  1. Pavel Buchnevich is the one forward on the team who cannot be blamed in any way. He is playing with energy and smarts.  The Kreider goal was all Buchnevich. Quinn keeps using him to try to get lines going, but despite his best efforts it is not working.
  2. K’Andre Miller got his first NHL goal and played another solid game.  The 21-year old is playing much older than his age and experience with his composure maybe his best quality. Nothing sees to rattle him and it showed in his reaction to the goal.
  3. Alexis Lafrenière played a very dynamic game with three shots, coming very, very close to his first NHL goal.  Quinn actually moved him up to the top line at one point, but considering how he played it may be worth leaving him on the left side of Howden and Kakko to see if that line can build into something big.

The official three stars

  1. Rasmus Ristolainen
  2. Dylan Cozens
  3. Tobias Rieder

Redemption time is Thursday at 7pm in Buffalo again.  It’s too early to have must win games, but this is a must win.
