It’s first place versus last place as the Boston Bruins come to Madison Square Garden to take on the New York Rangers. Eight points separate the two teams, but if the Ranger sweep their two games with the Bruins, they would cut the margin to four. Of course, lose both and the Bruins will be ahead by 12 points. These really are four point games.
The Rangers haven’t beaten the Bruins since the February 2019, going 0-3-1 since then.
Alexandar Georgiev will be in goal, looking for a birthday present as he turns 25 today. Georgiev is older than ten players dressed for the game tonight
This is the first nationally televised game for the Rangers. Last year the Rangers played on national TV 12 times with a 6-5-1 record. They usually do well in a national spotlight with only one sub-.500 record over the last six years.
