In a 4-1 win, the Rangers play their best to beat the best
By Steve Paulus
My 3 Rangers stars of the game
K’Andre Miller
was a force on defense and chipped in with a timely goal that gave the Rangers a two goal lead. He played the most minutes of any Ranger. He led all defensemen with three shots on goal with a plus/minus rating of +2.
TIE -It’s impossible to pick one over the other of these two players.
- Alexis Lafrenière played a very solid game, scoring the first goal and leading the team with five shots on goal. You cannot underestimate the importance of scoring that first goal and Lafrenière delivered after a fabulous shift in the Islanders’ zone.
- Alexandar Georgiev had the challenge of playing for the first time in three weeks against arguably the best team in the NHL. He played a fabulous first period, making numerous saves that have to be seen as game savers.
The official three stars
- Artemi Panarin
- K’Andre Miller
- Alexis Lafrenière
