Seventh round picks

Gold: Henrik Lundqvist (2000)

Silver:  Todd Marchant (1993)

Bronze:  Mike Mottau (1997)

Honorable mentions: None

Future medalists?:  Adam Huska (2015), Eric Ciccolini (2019)

He isn’t in the Hall of Fame yet, but Henrik Lundqvist is a shoo-in and he will be the fourth Rangers draft pick to make it to the Hall.  He is a slam dunk for the gold medal, though silver medalist Todd Marchant has some right to argue he deserves better than second place. Marchant played 1,195 NHL games and scored 498 points, mostly with Edmonton after the Rangers traded him for Craig MacTavish.

Bronze medalists Mike Mottau won the Hobey Baker Award playing for Boston College and he made it to the NHL with the Rangers in 2000-01. He played only 19 games for the Rangers, but had some solid years with the Devils.

Adam Huska could develop into a top NHL goalie and Eric Ciccolini was the most improved player for the Michigan Wolverines last season.

Next are the really late rounds, eighth through 12th and some gems uncovered.
