The New York Rangers have plenty of young players who are already important to the team. For example, Adam Fox, K’Andre Miller, Alexis Lafrenière, Ryan Lindgren and Kaapo Kakko all should be long-term pieces of the Rangers. They also have a great mix of veterans who will continue to be key contributors for them. Yet, even with there being so many players to be excited about, it is sometimes easy to forget that the Rangers still possess a very solid prospect pool, too.

In this piece, we will be discussing five prospects who should have bright futures with the club. This is the case whether they seem to be ready for the NHL as soon as this upcoming season or a little later down the road. Regardless of which stage each prospect seems to be at, they are absolutely worth paying close attention to.

We will have to wait and see just how well they progress, but it surely will be entertaining in the process.

Before beginning, there is an honorable mention worth addressing. Brennan Othmann was taken in the first-round of this year’s draft and should be a nice addition for the team in the future. In 34 games this past season with EHC Olten of the SL, he scored seven goals and had 16 points. He will absolutely be a fun player to see develop. He just may take a little time to get to New York.

Alas, let’s get started.
