The New Jersey Devils

The New Jersey Devils have always given the Rangers trouble, even when the Devils are at the bottom of the league. This rivalry should only grow this year as the Devils are heralded as one of the most improved teams in the league.

The Devils inked two-way defenseman, Dougie Hamilton, to a seven-year deal worth $63 million. Hamilton was the best free agent on the market and should contribute to a Devils team ready to take that next step.

The first and second overall picks of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft are both looking to break out next year. Both Jack Hughes and Kaapo Kakko showed tons of promise during the 56 game season and hope to finally break out in 2021-2022.

With a young and hungry team ready to compete, the New Jersey Devils should give the Rangers plenty of fits this year. Although the Blueshirts have a more complete roster, the Devils will be right on their backs throughout the season.
