My 3 Ranger stars of the game

  1. Adam Fox gets the number one star for the second straight game.  He scored the Rangers first goal, led all skaters with 25 minutes of ice time and played an overall brilliant game.
  2. Chris Kreider led all Rangers with seven hits, scored the second goal and  played a physical, forceful game.  Could this be the season that Kreider wakes up and lives up to his potential?
  3. Jacob Trouba is a new man this season.  He is jumping in on the offense, but is still on the shutdown defense pair.  He had five hits and joined the rush wheneve he had the opportunity. Is it a matter of him having more confidence in his defense partner, K’andre Miller?

The official 3 stars

  1. Miro Heiskanen, Dallas
  2. Adam Fox, Rangers
  3. Braden Holtby, Dallas

What’s next

The Rangers kick off a four game road trip in Montreal on Saturday.  The Habs started their season with two road losses, 2-1 to the Maple Leafs and 5-1 to the Sabres, yes, 5 -1 to the Sabres.  It will be their home opener against the Rangers and they will be desperate for a win.  The Blueshirts then travel to Toronto, Nashville and Ottawa.
