3 Rangers stars

  1. Jacob Trouba had another very strong game and in his best stretch of games as a Ranger.  He led the team in ice time, shots on goal and was second in hits.  His play is helping K’Andre Miller who also had a solid outing.
  2. Julien Gauthier gets the second star for another dynamic game.  He had five shots on goal and drove to the net every time he had the opportunity.   He’s playing very, very well and is earning his ice time.
  3. Igor Shesterkin made some really fine saves in this game and held the Maple Leafs to only two goals. It was another excellent game for the Rangers’ best player.

The official three stars

  1. Morgan Rielly – Toronto
  2. Jack Campbell – Toronto
  3. Dryden Hunt

What’s next

The Rangers should be playing on Saturday afternoon in Ottawa, but that game has been postponed due to a COVID outbreak on the Senators. Their next game will be Sunday at 6pm at Madison Square Garden, versus the Buffalo Sabres.

It will be important for the Rangers to focus and win that game and not look ahead to a visit to the Islanders’ new UBS Arena on Thanksgiving eve.  The Blueshirts then have a tough road matinee on Friday in Boston.
