3 Rangers stars and what’s next

  1. For once, the official stars are the same as our picks.  Igor Shesterkin was the obvious choice for the first star with his outstanding effort.  You can see that the team knows that they will win with him in the net and he rarely disappoints.
  2. Jacob Trouba keeps playing physically with leadeership.  Now, he is adding scoring to his repertoire. He has four goals and three assists in his last eight games, despite not seeing much action on the power play.
  3. Kaapo Kakko keeps playing with more and more confidence.  He added two assists and had two sure goals stopped by defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen with the goalie pulled.   Teh beauty of Kakko’s game now is when he couldn’t score into the empty net he didn’t show any disappointment.  Though you’d think his Finnish countryman woud have helped him out.

The official 3 stars

  1. Igor Shesterkin
  2. Jacob Trouba
  3. Kaapo Kakko
