Vincent Trocheck

Finally, it is the newest addition to the New York Rangers roster. While he’s not one of the Rangers’ “best players” he’s certainly someone that the Rangers are going to find themselves depending on as time goes on. Vincent Trocheck has been incredibly strong to start the 2022-23 season and there’s not much more you can ask of New York’s second-line center.

Trocheck signed that big deal to come to the Big Apple this summer and he has played very well since he arrived in the five boroughs. A reliable producer, I don’t think it was appreciated how much of a pest the New York Rangers were getting with the acquisition of the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native. He’s been a lot to handle for opponents on the ice but he’s cemented himself as an annoying grinder too.

His 4 goals and 5 assists have not gone unnoticed as he has filled the hole left by Ryan Strome’s departure to the Anaheim Ducks and even offered more than Strome did as a member of the New York Rangers. This has been a flying start in the City of Dreams for Trocheck to the point where I’d argue a lot of Ranger fans would argue he is one of the more important parts of the team already.

These are the three members of the New York Rangers that have gotten off to strong starts that stood out to me. I’m sure there are more members of the New York Rangers that you could argue are not on this list that should be so please let me know who I’ve missed down below that could be on here. I wanted to include Chytil, but I just don’t think he’s played enough yet. Perhaps after November, this is worth revisiting.
