Rangers take on the Philadelphia Flyers as they look to extend winning streak
Your New York Rangers will be in the Wells Fargo Center tonight in Philadelphia as they look to make it six wins in a row. Toronto has already overcome the iconic orange of the Flyers once this season, but that was back on home ice where the Pennsylvanian team couldn’t cope with the Rangers. Philly has seen a lot of regression since the two teams’ last meeting but is still not a team to be taken lightly.
Every hockey fan knows that John Tortorella can get even a stone diving in front of shots and blocking the passing lanes so this is going to be a difficult game for the Blueshirts against a former Rangers bench boss. This should be a tough game with the Flyers recently in a slump, Torterella is sure to have his guys fired to trip up one of the hottest teams in the NHL as of late.
It will be Jaroslav Halak tending to the net for the Rangers tonight as they look to give Igor Shesterkin a little more rest. Halak hasn’t played in a game in a while so this is a good time to get the backup involved in a game he should be winning with a good feeling in the locker room and around the roster. Halak has been fine as a Rangers recently after a rough start, and his stats still haven’t fully recovered yet.

What time and where to watch it?
This is a 7 PM Eastern puck drop that will be carried on NBC Sports Philadelphia and on MSG. New York will be looking to win its sixth in a row and continue to solidify its position in the playoff places in the East. Philadelphia is more or less just trying to play spoiler for the rest of the season and they will be a difficult opponent to beat despite the shoddy record.
