There are certain games that will always take the priority of the New York Rangers. The original six match-ups will certainly spark the attention of the organization. Tonight, the only two teams in hockey to share a city will go to war. Your Rangers will take on the New York Islanders. When these two teams meet, it is usually noteworthy. For the Blueshirts, they will be looking to get back to winning ways after falling in Pittsburgh, and who better to beat than the Islanders?
For the Rangers, there will be one change to the lineup after the defeat suffered in Pittsburgh. Sammy Blais will come out of the lineup in favor of Julien Gauthier. Blais was responsible for one of the mistakes that lead to a goal in City of Steel and has received a lot of blame for that on top of his inability to score in a Rangers sweater. Whether he is going to be moved or not is unsure, but he is expected to be watching the game tonight.

Where to watch and what time is the puck drop?
This will be a 7 PM Eastern puck drop as the MSG crew will carry this game from the infamous Garden. Both teams will be seeking to close the gap on the teams ahead of them with the Penguins hosting the Hurricanes at the same time, and a win for the Rangers could move them into third in the division. It’s a big night in the big apple, and it will be great entertainment for all of us watching as fans.
