Rangers go into penultimate game as Sabres visit the Garden
There remain just two games in the regular season. Tonight, the Rangers progress into their penultimate game of the season as the Buffalo Sabres are the visitors to the Garden. This is a Sabres team that still has mathematical playoff odds. For the New York Rangers, there is very little to play for. With home ice still mathematically possible, but the Devils still looking like they are good for 2nd, it’s just about staying healthy.
This will be a full Rangers lineup. Despite Ben Harpur taking some time on the top pairing alongside Ryan Lindgren, Adam Fox was on the ice for the powerplay workout and is expected to slide into the lineup tonight with no issues. The assumption is that it was just a rest day for the former Calgary Flames draft pick. There’s no need to panic for fans of the Blueshirts, Fox is still healthy which is a big thing for this franchise.

Puck drop time and where to watch
This game is going to be shown across the MSG networks as both teams are based in the Empire State. There’s no reason the Rangers should be risking themselves for injury and just get through the game. At this point, these results are basically meaningless and as much as you would like to see the Rangers get into the playoffs red hot on the back of winning 82 straight, but there’s no reason to risk anything in this one.
