Delve into the contract situations of NHL stars Adam Fox and Rasmus Dahlin, and discover why Fox’s deal is a bargain for the New York Rangers.

You won’t find an argument here, fellow New York Rangers fans. Our own blueliner Adam Fox’s contract is a steal at $9.5 million per season especially when we look at Rasmus Dahlin’s  eight-year $88 million ($11 million AAV) deal in Buffalo. Fox, already a Norris Trophy winner and reigning two-time finalist at 25, has been sensational, and kudos to Chris Drury for that 7 year $66.5 million  contract back in 2021.

Fox has been a game-changing star, showcasing his defensive prowess and playmaking abilities. His recognition as a Norris Trophy winner in 2021 speaks volumes about his impact to the Blueshirts.

Adam Fox vs. Rasmus Dahlin: The Contract Showdown:

Now, speaking of Dahlin, he’s been through quite a journey with the Sabres. Signed for the long term, he’s seen his fair share of tough times in Buffalo. But now, as he gears up for another season, he’s grown into a team leader and a top offensive defenseman in the NHL. The Sabres locking him in on Monday is a big deal for them. The sky’s the limit for the 23-year-old Buffalo native.

Yet, let’s not forget, Rangers fans, that we have one of the league’s best in Adam Fox, and he’s just getting started. Fox vs. Dahlin? No competition. Hardware aside, Fox has 36 goals and 285 points in 233 games with a 20.5 Defensive Points Share.
Dahlin has 46 goals and 233 points in 355 games with a 13 Defensive Points Share. Yet the latter is making more dough.

Sizing up the contracts, it’s pretty clear that the Rangers received a bargin. Having Fox as the backbone of their defense for “cheap” is a huge win, and the future is looking bright with him on board. So, as always, let’s rally behind our Rangers and keep giving  Fox the stick taps he deserves.
