4 games Rangers fans should already be looking forward to

Wednesday saw the release of the full 2025-26 New York Rangers schedule. The release of the schedule brings plenty of storylines for the Blueshirt faithful. Here's my list of four games fans should already start marking their calendars for.

1. Hosting the Anaheim Ducks - Dec. 15, 2025

If you didn't think the return of Kreider to Madison Square Garden would be No. 1 on my list, guess again.

The longest tenured member of the Ranger roster was traded away to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for forward Carey Terrance and a third-round pick (originally Toronto’s) in the 2025 NHL Draft on June 12th.

The trade has since divided the fanbase, with some fans saying they wanted younger talent, and others saying that Kreider's leadership could never be replaced.

In the NHL, there was/is not one single active player in the league who has as many years of experience playing for the Rangers as Kreider. Naturally, his return — albeit it in an Anaheim jersey — will be nothing short of sentimental for everyone in the building, not to mention Trouba will also be standing by Kreider's side.
